Don Fournier Jr., EMA
Director-Announces
that the Sabattus Mountaineers will be having their radar runs this Saturday and
Sunday. Requests that this be posted on the Town
Sign.
Mike Yohe,
Mixers Owner-Wants
to apologize for the controversy concerning the Ron Jeremy Night. This was held
as a charity event. The Board was
more concerned about the article that was printed in the paper before the event , they did not receive any complaints following the
event.
Steve Wood, Town Resident- Asks when the Budget
meetings will start. The Town Manager will be sending
letters out to the Budget members tomorrow. Selectman William Henshaw suggests that they meet following the next
Selectmen’s Meeting on the 19th.
Steve Wood, Town
Resident-Asks the
Board why they are appointing an office worker as a GA Administrator. Feels that it should
be the duty of the Selectmen. The Board responds that they are still seeing
residents but since there are so
many requests for assistance, there is a need to have someone available during
office hours. This is also a
practice in other towns.
Paul Gagne, Town
Resident-Asks the
Board if it is mandatory for Department Heads to attend the Selectmen Meetings.
He has attended a few meetings and has noticed that not all Department Heads are
present. The Board responds that with the Town Charter, the Town Manager deals
with them and they need only attend when issues arise.
John Hyde, Road Foreman-
Informs the Board
that he needs to purchase salt. He
currently has enough for 2 more storms.
Only has about $1,200.00 left in the budget and needs the Boards
permission to go over budget. He
will purchase one load at a time.
Also informs the Board that he did not purchase the calcium chloride as
the cost was over the $600.00 limit. The cost is closer to $644.00.
Motion to allow PW to purchase a load
of salt and increase the cost for calcium chloride to $644.00 made by Selectman
