Homeland Security and Emergency Management Issues

The Sabattus Police Department recently received a Trailer, Barricades, Traffic Cones and Crime Scene Protection  Materials from the 2003 Supplemental State Homeland Security Grant. Instrumental in this acquisition was our local Androscoggin County Emergency Management Agency.

This equipment will allow the Sabattus Police to contain dangerous situations that could be hazardous to our citizens such as chemical spills or other hazardous materials, downed power lines and trees during natural disasters, protect and preserve evidence of crimes, and to set up safe zones at the scene of dangerous criminal Incidents.

The members of the Sabattus Police Department would like to thank the Androscoggin Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security for their assistance in making Sabattus a safe and appealing place to live and work.
