All in Favor.

  1. Official Payments Corporation (OPC)- offers credit/debit card payment transaction services at no cost to the Town.  It is a great service to provide for town office transactions for town residents. Requesting Board’s approval of service, Board members will review documents and make a decision at next week’s Selectmen’s Meeting on 2/13/07.

Jerry Sabins, Transfer Station Manager-

1.        Freon recovery service, new rates- Requests the Board’s approval to raise his rates to the current rate that the Town is paying.  Refrigerators and freezers are now $8.00 each and air conditioners, water coolers and dehumidifiers are now $11.00 each.

Motion made that refrigerators and freezers go up to $8.00 and that air conditioners, water coolers and dehumidifiers go up to $11.00 made by Selectman Gino Camardese and seconded by Selectman Steve Wood.

All in Favor.

        2.     Two quotes received-for Vinyl Siding, Metal and Freon Building, opened on 1/23/07.

Motion to allow Thick & Thin Lumber to complete the task bided on for $4,757.09 made by Selectman Steve Wood and seconded by Selectman Gino Camardese.

3 in Favor.  Gino Camardese opposed as that the original contractor should have finished the job.

Gary LaBonte, Acting Road Commissioner-

  1. Transmission bad/ not working properly on truck #5-550. No longer under warranty.  Was last fixed on 3/29/01 and has since put on 50,000 miles on it.  The normal warranty was for 3 years or 36,000 miles. The core is being sent back.
  2. Informs the Board that the garage is under a 3-month inspection sticker license suspension until April.
  3. No walk through door at new garage- This is a safety issue as that the only way out is through the overhead door. Two doors are actually needed. Jerry Sabins, Transfer Station Manager is willing to pay for the doors as this is near his bay and Public Works will do the labor. The cost should be under $500.00 so the Board’s approval is not needed.

Normand LaPlante, Search Committee for Town Manager, Chairman- MMA will do the complete search and the advertising.  MMA will pay for everything but once someone is hired, an invoice will be sent. Should know more about how much money is needed to pay them by next week.  Also informs the Board that they are no longer seeking any other committee members.

Comments from the Floor:

Denis Castonguay, Planning Board Chairman- asks if it is possible for the two lights in front of the building be cleaned.  Public Works will look into it.

New Business:

  1. Brian Luongo/Keller-Williams Mid-State- Present idea of Stencil “No Waste drain to Lake” and “No Waste drain to River” to go on storm drains. Steve Wood informs the Board that according to the Storm Water Run-off Phase Two Program, we need to stencil all storm drains and would like to find out would could do the stencils for us at a lower cost. Tracy Fabrizio lets the Board know that tomorrow she is meeting with Edwards and Kelly a contractor that assists us with the Storm Water. They will bring us up to date because we have fallen behind on the permits. Requests the Board to continue this, as she will find out more tomorrow.  This will continue on next week’s Agenda.
