minutes of January 9th made by Selectman Gino Camardese and seconded by
Selectman Mark Duquette.

12/2006 Bank Statements reconciled to zero with a few
variances.
3. Town Revenue Summary Report, Review work in progress with
Board of Selectmen. Revenue is up
for the second quarter.
Motion to accept the Town Revenue Summary Report made by
Selectman Mark Duquette and seconded by Selectman Gino Camardese.

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report made by Selectman Mark Duquette and seconded by Selectman Gino Camardese.

4. Spring Semester enrolled at CMCC-2 Courses Job Related, Requesting
Board’s Approval,
reimbursement upon
successful completion.
Motion to allow Tracy to take the classes made by Selectman
Gino Camardese and seconded by Selectman Bill Henshaw.

5.
Rapid Renewal Online Service Fully Activated,
No longer in Testing Phase, Town Residents may
renew motor vehicle registrations online.
Robert Scott, EMA Director-Informed the
Board that we did not get our approval for the Grants from Homeland Security
that we applied for. Also reminded the Board that we still need to work on the
disaster plan for the Town and is told to go ahead and set up the next meeting.

from the floor:
Steve
Wood, Selectman-informs the Board that
the Sabattus Lake water levels were checked today and they are about 1 to 1.5
inches above the desired level. One gate is fully opened by five feet and the
other gate is opened one foot and both are currently frozen open. Water levels
should be one to two inches below the desired level by the end of the
week. Reminds everyone that the Sabattus
Lake Dam Commission is meeting Thursday night the 18th at 7:00.

Business:
1.
Review
Ordinances and possible implementation of new ordinances, set a date/time for
review process with Board, Department Heads, CEO and Gary Simard, Auburn Fire
Protection Officer to attend, Chief Therrien to speak with Mr. Simard for best
date to hold meeting. Chief Therrien to report back to the Board of Selectmen.
Chief Therrien informed Tracy that Mr. Simard could meet with the Board on any
Tuesday. A workshop for next Tuesday the 23rd at 7:15 is set up.
2.
New Road
Foreman Position, Job Description – Draft Updated, Final Reading
One change was made to read a Class A license is
needed.
The former draft stated a Class B license was required
and to be able to obtain a Class A within 6 months.
Motion to accept the job
description for Public Works new Road Foreman position made by Selectman Bill
Henshaw and seconded by Selectman Steve Wood.
Four in Favor. Mark Duquette
opposes the change made to the draft.
Discussion follows to place an ad in the Sun-Journal paper
for the position to start on Sunday January 21st to air at
least two Sundays and a couple of times during the week. The position will
close on February 5th. Tracy
will also check with MMA to post the position on their site.
3.
Transfer Station, Compactor
Motor-Switch Problem, Mark Duquette, Jerry Sabins and
A quick and temporary fix would be to install a selector switch and then maybe have the money in next year’s budget to have an electrician to upgrade the system. A suggestion is made that an electrician be called to find out what the cost of the switch would be. Mark Duquette will call Stevens Electric to get a price and if under $1000.00 will get the job done.

to elect William Henshaw as the new Chair made by Selectman Steve Wood and
seconded by Selectman Gino Camardese.
2.
Municipal Quitclaim Deed Without
Convenants, review and sign document- from Tax Sale,
Map 009 Lot
020-000 - Paperwork is signed, witnessed and notarized.
3.
Our Lady of the Rosary Church,
Requesting Blanket Letter of Approval for Beano/Bingo &
Game of Chance
(Sealed Ticket)-Dates are needed before the Board will sign.
Motion to continue Our Lady of the Rosary Church made by
Selectman Bill Henshaw and seconded by Selectman Mark Duquette.
All in Favor.
Ronald Edgerly, Resident- Missed Comments from the
Floor but the Board agrees to listen to him now. He lives at 97 Elm Street and
is having problems with people driving on his lawn and digging it up. Many of these
people are looking for directions to Martin’s Point and use his driveway to
turn around. A blue sign with an arrow saying “Martin’s Point” can be put up
next spring.
