Motion to accept the Meeting Minutes of July 24, 2007 made by Selectman Gino Camardese and seconded by Selectman Mark Duquette.

Department Heads:

Gregory Gill, Town Manager-

1. Review Delinquent Taxes-Delinquent taxes outstanding as of Friday July 27, 2007 is $41,779.07 consisting of 45 accounts. Delinquent taxes collected from Friday July 20 through Friday July 27 was $1,010.00.

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report as read made by Selectman Gino Camardese and seconded by Selectman Paul Loesberg.

All in Favor.

2. Emergency Wiring-Asks the Board to now vote on the emergency wiring done at Public Works last week due to the compressor motor burning up. Was able to reach four members of the Board for a verbal o.k. Is asking not to exceed $1900.00 which will come out of the Public Works building account.

Motion to approve the emergency electrical work done at Public Works not to exceed $1900.00 made by Selectman Paul Loesberg and seconded by Selectman Gino Camardese.

All in Favor.

Robert Scott, Fire Chief-Informs the Board that Engine 4 was brought down to Mike Hannigan’s to get a new front tire for it. Also had service work done and had to change a few air lines.

Comments from the Floor:

Selectman Mark Duquette-Asks if it is known on how the new Animal Control Truck is being purchased. He is told that it will be a two year lease and once Lisbon has the figures they will forward the information to Town Manager Gregory Gill.

Jerry Sabins, Transfer Station Manager-Informs the Board that his new employee William Dailey passed away last Friday.

Robert Scott, Fire Chief-Asks about the street light on Conway Street located on pole 51-5xx. Selectman Gino Camardese replies that he has called CMP and they are supposed to send someone up to check it out.

Don Fournier-Tells the Board that Furbush Road, the section near the turnpike overpass, is really rough. Asks if Public Works could take a look at it.

Steve Wood-Questions the Board on what roads are going to be paved this year. He is told that Road Foreman, John Hyde is on vacation this week but the Board will try to have an answer by next week.

Gregory Gill, Town Manager-Informs the Board that Normand LaPlante has volunteered to serve on the Androscoggin Budget Committee. A letter appointing Mr. LaPlante is signed by Chairman William Henshaw and Town Manager Gregory Gill.

New Business:

1. Discussion of appointing new EMA Director-Board asks if Don Fournier is still interested. He replies that he is. Town Manager Gregory Gill asks for his help with the Sleeper Dam Report.

Motion to appoint Donat Fournier Jr. as EMA Director of Sabattus made by Selectman Gino Camardese and seconded by Selectman Mark Duquette.

All in Favor.

2. Approve license to operate a Game of Chance-American Legion Post 135 is seeking the Board’s approval.

Motion to approve the sealed tickets for American Legion post 135 made by Selectman Paul Loesberg and seconded by Selectman Mark Duquette.

All in Favor.
