Chair Guy Desjardins- Donald Derosier, Sabattus resident of Mad Bull Dog Road, would like to know why a Sabattus Fire truck had stopped at the end of his driveway and did not attempt to go any further. The driver was accompanied by Selectman Bill Henshaw and the Transfer Manager Jerry Sabins. The right of way was moved and the Fire Department wanted to be sure that there was enough room for a truck to get by.

Chief Don Therien, Fire Dept.- Already went out a month ago and measured the road.  At the time the road was wide enough for a fire truck. There is now a small fir tree that needs to be moved and then the road would need to be upgraded so that the fire truck would not bottom out.

Chair Guy Desjardins-I would like to make a request for the Board to support. It is to get a list of all the residents that use the right of way and to have the Fire Chief send a letter to each one stating that it would be in their best interest to upgrade the road. If the issue doesn’t get settled and there is a fire at least the Fire Chief has made it known to the residents and it protects us if anything happens.  If a fire truck has a problem getting by chances are that an ambulance would also have a problem.

Chair Guy Desjardins- Mr. David Beaule is here tonight with his son, Trent. Trent is a student and has an assignment regarding Local Government..  He would like the Board of Selectmen to answer a few questions.

Trent Beaule, Student of Sabattus Central School- Has an assignment for his Social Studies Class to see how Local Government is run. Would like to know why a Selectman would decide to run and also asked what the purpose of the Board of Selectmen. His questions were answered by Chairman Guy Desjardins.

Chair Guy Desjardins-Workshop at 7:15, Board of Selectmen, Town Administrator, Public Works and Shop Steward to meet Union Representatives.

Motion to adjourn was made at 7:23 by Selectman Mark Duquette and seconded by Selectman Bill Henshaw.
