FREEDOM OF ACCESS RECORDS REQUEST


It is the policy of the Sabattus Police Department, in accordance with the Maine Freedom of Access Law, to provide public access to the public records of the Sabattus Police Department.

Please note: The Sabattus Police Department is allowed five (5) working days by law to acknowledge your request and either grant or deny it. As well, within this same five day period, we will provide an estimate of how long it may take to collect the records and if there is any cost involved. 

To Request Police Records:

While you are not required to provide your name or contact information when making a request for records, providing it will allow us to reach you when your request is processed. Please be as specific as possible including names, dates and any other information you feel is necessary to assist us in processing your request. The completion of a record request in writing is not required, however, it will help us understand exactly what you need so we can best serve you.
